Product Update Round-Up Q1 2026
The Kitchen CUT tech team are dedicated to enhancing our software to better serve our customers. Here we explore the latest updates and improvements made since the start of 2026.
Our tech team here at Kitchen CUT is dedicated to continually improving our system to deliver the best possible user experience for our customers. So far this year, the team has worked hard on a wide range of enhancements and developments across many of our software features to help hospitality businesses maximise their use of our technology.
Here, we explore these product updates and the improvements made to our system since the beginning of the year.
Find & Replace
Our Find & Replace tool has had a significant overhaul so far in 2026. It now automatically converts compatible units (like ml to litres or grams to kilograms) without any manual input, and the interface has been enhanced so that only the most relevant information is front and centre.
Before customers run any ingredient replacements, they’ll now see a full impact preview that highlights exactly how many recipes, menu items and outlets will be affected, giving chefs extra confidence as they update their menus and recipes.
Our tech team has also made some important improvements to how automatic unit conversions handle ingredient quantities, and the feature is now fully re-enabled following all safety and data integrity work.
Recipes & Menu Costing
Several important improvements have been made to improve our customers’ costing experience. Chefs can now adjust a sub-recipe’s yield and automatically scale all ingredient quantities, resulting in more accurate menu costs for reporting and analysis.
The team has also enhanced sub-recipe saving tools and improved how secondary units of measure display on recipe cards. Additionally, dietary suitability information (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.) now appears more prominently in downloaded and printed recipe PDFs.
Ordering & Purchase Orders
Our team have worked hard on multiple upgrades to better organise the Kitchen CUT ordering experience.
Notably, PO Summary reports have been enhanced to improve the user experience, and the system now displays clearer error messages when a purchase order fails to send.
Reporting
Q1 has seen two major improvements in our reporting capabilities.
The Operating Stock (OIC) summary export correctly reflects the selected date range when exporting to Excel, for better, in-depth stock analysis.
Our customers can now also select up to 15 periods when running reports, a vast improvement over the previous limit, making longer-range trend analysis much more streamlined and efficient.
Inventory & Stock
To reduce manual data entry each month, our team has improved the automated inventory period closing process.
A database-level safeguard was also put in place in Q1 to prevent duplicate stock items from being created, reducing stock count errors and ensuring a smoother process when submitting Operating Stock forms.
Products, Suppliers & Nutrition
The reliability of all ingredient imports has been enhanced this quarter, and the nutritional data included on supplier price lists will now be correctly visible on product profiles when imported into our system. This improvement will build more confidence among chefs who rely on connected gateways for up-to-date nutritional information in their recipes, providing greater peace of mind and enhancing allergen compliance for our customers.
Furthermore, a new Incremental Supplier Replacement feature lets our customers selectively choose which products to replace when switching suppliers, rather than needing to swap everything in one go.
PDF & Printing
A new PDF generation engine (Espresso) is now live for customers, for smarter, more presentable labels, reports and recipe cards. This upgrade enables better document rendering, header and footer support, and page numbering across all PDFs.
Integrations (Agilico & Yooz)
The team have also worked hard on several improvements to the accuracy and reliability of our accounting exports throughout the start of the year.
Duplicate tax classes on Yooz exports have now been prevented by enhancements made to our tax class identifier system.
Agilico exports have also been overhauled with multiple improvements, including the addition of Sage 200 to improve accuracy. Accounting codes generated through Kitchen CUT are now derived from precise locations using accurate mapping. Our team has also updated our file-sending capabilities to increase user efficiency, for a more streamlined and reliable submission process.
Settings & User Management
For our customers with large teams, we have upgraded our user import system to cut time and admin. Kitchen CUT admins can now import users in bulk via CSV files, making it significantly faster to onboard large teams or set up new tenants.
Goods Receiving (RSR Import)
More great news! Our RSR Import feature has received its final polish before going live, including the ability to reject individual line items without failing the whole import, saving time and admin.
See when each file was imported with up-to-date configurable received date and time stamps. Conditional price acceptance based on the customer’s RSR moderation settings has also been implemented.
To conclude
As Kitchen CUT continues to develop, we’re excited to cater for more and more hospitality businesses of every size and type; helping them to cut costs, reduce admin and boost profits. Our tech team work continually to enhance our system and improve our software, to provide a better user experience and help these businesses to overcome challenges and optimise their operations.
