Kitchen CUT sponsored the prestigious Young Chef Olympiad with the Kitchen CUT Award.
Kitchen CUT were proud to sponsor the prestigious Young Chef Olympiad recently, a global culinary competition for young professionals, held in India.
Our Founder, John Wood, had a fantastic week judging the 12th annual competition. He joined the competition as Head Judge, alongside 40 other hospitality professionals from across the world.
John and the other judges spent the week judging the very best in culinary talent from over 50 countries across the globe, with heats taking place across India, before the final on Feb 6th in Kolkata. The student chefs showcased the best of the world’s cuisine throughout the intense series of competition rounds.
As part of the competition, we were proud to be sponsoring the event with the Kitchen CUT Award. Our technology enabled all participants to gain real-life experience of using software to create profit-making menus, using cutting-edge inventory management, menu engineering, costing, allergen and nutritional and Co2 emissions management software. The Kitchen CUT award was won by Team India, and recognised the best use of our technology and best written recipes.
A huge congratulations to all of the YCO winners: Gold for Albania, Silver for England and Bronze for Sri Lanka! Plus the Plate Trophy for France.
Well done to all of the talented young chefs from across the globe who took part and the YCO team for another brilliant event.
